As every year during its solemn session, the Air and Space Academy awards its medals, prizes, presents the board and receives the new members and correspondents. This year was marked by the presentation of the Grand Prix de l’Académie to Eric Trappier, Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation.
This ceremony took place on Friday, December 9 and was a huge success with the public present in large numbers in the Salle des Illustres of the City Hall of the Capitole of Toulouse.

Grand Prix
The Grand Prix was awarded to Éric TRAPPIER, Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation for his remarkable career as an engineer and executive, who has devoted his career to the development of the French and European aerospace industry.
Vermeil medal
It was awarded to Carlos PEREZ-ARROYO, Jérôme DOMBARD and Gabriel STAFFELBACH to honor the excellence of their work in the realization of the FULLEST project, the first high-fidelity simulation of an aircraft engine in collaboration with CERFACS-SAFRAN-AKIRA Tech.
Academy Medals
Clément & Jonathan GALIC, for the creation and development, based on innovative technologies, of Unseenlab, a maritime surveillance service for civilian and military customers.
Mustapha MEFTAH, CNRS LATMOS, for the success of the NewSpace scientific nanosatellite sector developed by bringing together the competent scientific and technical teams
Philippe VILLEDIEU, for his contribution to a better knowledge of icing on aircraft and the dynamism and results of his team at ONERA in the Toulouse Centre.
Doctoral thesis prize on law, economy and sociology of air and space transport
It was awarded to Agathe GILAIN, École des Mines de Paris,for her thesis on: ” Economic evaluation of design in the unknown – models based on design theory beyond decision theory in the uncertain “
Literary Prize
It was awarded to Félix TORRES, for his remarkable biography René Ravaud – A life for industry
