As part of its partnership with the Aerospace Valley Cluster, Section II of the AAE held its meeting on March 26, 2024 in building B612, the Innovation Center of the Toulouse Aerospace campus.

On this occasion, some of the members of the section had the opportunity to visit the MFJA (Maison de la Formation Jacqueline Auriol), which brings together the Faculty of Science and Engineering of the University of Toulouse III, the IUT ‘A’ Paul Sabatier, the INSA, the ISAE-SUPAERO and AIP-Primeca Occitanie cluster (S-MART) to deliver diploma and qualification courses in Mechanical and Production Engineering with a focus on aeronautics and space, from senior technician to engineer, from bac +2 to bac +8, by the traditional route or on a work-study basis, throughout life.

They were also able to see the Pad’Occ 4.0 factory-school, the Occitanie Region’s platform for accelerating the industry of the future.

The session concluded with an exciting presentation by Manuel Huertas, Chief Manufacturing Architect of Airbus, on the current challenges for innovative composite technologies.
