Graduated in 1979 from the French aeronautical engineering school ENSICA, he joined Airbus in 81 as an engineer at the Flight Test Division. In 83, he moved to the ATR program to lead the Flight Operations Engineering department. ATPL and flight instructor, he became head of training for ATR. Later on with the creation of AI(R), he became VP training & flight operations. The opening of Airbus Training in China was an opportunity to return to the Airbus family as its chief training pilot. Graduated as a test pilot by the French Test Pilot School in 2000, he was affected to Hamburg for the acceptance of A319 and 321 before taking the lead of Airbus Training & Flight Operations. He returned to the Engineering division in 2007 to support Airbus Sales & Marketing.
