Activities
In order to achieve its objectives, the Academy leads and animates reflections on Air and Space topics, whether of general interest or strategy, or motivated by current events, and this at the request of an authority or on its own initiative. The Academy can also occasionally provide institutions or industrialists with food for thought in their field of interest.
Multi-disciplinary studies are carried out by sections and commissions: they help to identify key issues and often lead to the organization of events and the publication of reports, opinions and other works.
The events organized provide an opportunity to compare the points of view of the various players involved in a subject.
These meetings are also an opportunity to maintain close and friendly relations with other institutions and companies in the aerospace field.
Lectures
More than 20 annual conferences, covering all aerospace topics, are held all over Europe: Bordeaux, Bremen, Brussels, Madrid, Paris, Rome, Toulouse, etc.
Sessions
They bring together all the academicians 5 times a year, and enable them to reflect together on important issues. The last meeting of the year is a formal session in Toulouse.
Conferences and forums
Experts from a wide range of backgrounds debate and exchange ideas, enabling progress to be made on highly technical Air & Space issues that are of major strategic importance.
Training
With its “Entretiens de Toulouse” (Toulouse Encounters) initiative, AAE has created an interactive, high level training course that is mainly technical for engineers, managers and leaders.
Awards & medals
Awarded at the gala ceremony, they recognize individuals who have made a decisive contribution to the aerospace industry.
The Academy publishes and disseminates the summaries and conclusions of its work through Dossiers et Avis, which include recommendations to political and industrial decision-makers.
The Academy also participates in the development of books on general aerospace culture, and publishes a bimonthly newsletter.
AAE reaches a wide audience by providing free access to all its studies and publications via its website, and also by allowing free consultation of its library collections.
