Air transport accounts for about 2.6% of CO2 emissions, despite all the actions taken to reduce fossil fuels, the challenge towards zero emissions is all the more ambitious as traffic growth must be anticipated. Hydrogen is one way to reduce the carbon footprint, but it is not the only one. Many technological bricks are not yet at the rendezvous and are the subject of intensive maturation plans on the part of aircraft and engine manufacturers. There is also a need to incorporate a change in the airport ecosystem.
During this conference it will be presented the consequences and opportunities of the introduction of hydrogen on aircraft engines.
