“Children from Buschdorf” (film France Télévision – 46 minutes)

A film by Anne-Sophie Chaumier Leconte, Carole Filippi, Oktay Senghul and Nicolas Ducrot. From May 15 to 31-continuous

“Ulrich, Christel, Rüdiger or Ewald were young children in 1948. Without understanding why, they leave a devastated Germany for France, with their families. In Vernon, a village in Normandy, they benefit from preferential treatment, are well housed and fed. Far from their roots, living almost in autarchy, the children recreate an imaginary world in the Woods: the Republic of Buschdorf… But who are they? Their story is unbelievable. Their fathers are all engineers of the Third Reich who worked on the very first ballistic missile: the famous v2. In secret, France recovered them to design the first French rockets. With the testimony of these children and the unpublished archives of their fathers, we reveal one of the most unknown stories of the post-war period. “
