Section II – Applied sciences and technology of air and space

Section II, which focuses on the theme “Applied Science and Technology in Aviation and Space,” is the Academy’s section with the largest number of members; it is therefore natural that these members chair certain cross-disciplinary committees or working groups, or participate actively in them.

Furthermore, since 2008, there has been a gradual shift toward Europeanization, as 35% of its full members are Europeans who are not French.
