Our colleague and Academy vice-president Philippe Forestier was in Cameroon from February 4 to 9, 2025, at the invitation of Yaapa (Young African Aviation Professional Association) President Fadimatou Noutchemo, to take part in the Central African Youth Aviation Week (SAJAC), to promote aviation among young people, inspire them, guide them towards careers in aviation, and connect young talent with professionals in the sector. The event, a true celebration of aviation that was broadcast daily on Cameroonian television news, brought together 1,000 young pupils and students in 4 towns across the country, and ended with an audience with Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute.
