Médiathèque José Cabanis (Grand Auditorium)
1 Allée Jacques Chaban Delmas - 31500 - Toulouse - (France)

With Jean Pinet, former experimental test pilot, doctor in psychology-ergonomics and former president of the AAE; Alain Garcia, former Executive Vice President Engineering at Airbus Commercial Aircraft and former Vice-President of AAE; Jacques Verrière, former Captain, Air France Instructor and Chairman of AAE Section 3.

This conference, in the form of a round-table discussion, will address the questions raised by a major witness to the evolution of civil aviation over the last 60 years. Jean Pinet, experimental test pilot and head of Aéroformation, lived through the arrival of computers, first analog on Concorde, then digital on subsequent aircraft, providing invaluable aids to piloting with ever-increasing safety and operational efficiency, but at the price of a worrying increase in complexity. After recalling his own experience, Jean Pinet will discuss with a former aircraft design manager and a former airline pilot his vision of possible future developments in aircraft operations.

Following the conference, Jean Pinet will be available for book signings. The Librairie de la Renaissance will also be on hand at the entrance to sell its books.
