JUICE, a major project of the European Space Agency, is a satellite built by Airbus Defense & Space that is scheduled to take off in 2023 and join Jupiter in 2031. The mission aims to study in detail the giant planet and three of its largest moons Ganymede, Callisto and Europa. In this presentation embellished with animations, Cyril Cavel and Olivier Witasse will talk about this ambitious project, its history, its development, its scientific issues, its technical, programmatic and human challenges, as well as its complex trajectory.
