SUMMARY:Space Science with Small Satellites – 5th symposium COSPAR 2023
DESCRIPTION:Small satellites and cubesats have grown in popularity over the last decade as effective tools for space research and technology demonstrations for a variety of applications. The cubesat approach to space missions combined with recent advances in cubesat technologies offer innovative cost-effective and fast turn-around solutions for addressing fundamental scientific questions in Earth remote sensing\, space weather studies\, Sun-Earth interactions and planetary explorations. Other focus areas include advances in scientific instrumentation for small satellite platforms\, the use of distributed platforms for instruments\, nano-satellite constellations\, quantum computing applications\, orbit debris mitigation and using small satellite technologies for space capacity building and innovative ride sharing opportunities for access to space.\n \nThis symposium will bring together researchers in these various fields for discussion on upcoming missions\, emerging technologies and sustainable practices. \n\n \n Symposium Program:\n \n \n\nS.1 Space Science with Small Satellites\nS.2 Space Debris monitoring and mitigation using small satellites\nA.1 Earth Observation and Environment Monitoring from Small Satellites\nB.1 Deep-Space Science and Exploration with Miniaturized Systems\nPCB.1 Capacity Building with Small Satellites – a COSPAR-INSPIRE Long Term Plan\nPoIS.1 Enabling Technologies from Small Satellites\nPSW.1 Microsatellites for Space Weather and Radio Astronomy\nTGCSS.1 Task Group on Establishing a Constellation of Small Satellites\n\nIn parallel to the Symposium\, a COSPAR Capacity Building Workshop on “Small Satellites” will take place during the week preceding the Symposium hosted by the Satellite Research Centre at the Nanyang Technological University. Participants will include students\, young professionals and post-docs primarily from Asia-Pacific region and will be selected by application. \n\n\n \n More information on : www.cospar2023.org

SUMMARY:Airbus pioneers sustainable aviation for an open and environmentally friendly world
DESCRIPTION:By Marc Hamy\, President Corporate Affairs\, Airbus\, fellow of the AAE \nAviation is not only an extremely fast\, safe and efficient means of transport. This is what makes it possible to connect all the countries of the world in less than 24 hours\, to dispersed families to reunite\, to economies to develop and open up to the world\, to different cultures to exchange and better understand each other. It is therefore a means of prosperity\, peace and unity that must be preserved and that is why Airbus is doing everything possible: technological innovations\, sustainable fuels\, increasingly efficient aircraft\, to be the pioneer of carbon-free aviation that allows future generations to continue to fly with the greatest respect for our planet. It is this objective and the means to achieve it\, that Marc Hamy will develop on behalf of Airbus\, during this conference. \n\n\n Free admission in the limit of available seats.\n \n\n In partnership with:\n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n\n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n [image] ©Airbus 2021 – photo by S.
