SUMMARY:Big drones
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the City of Science and Industry \nDrones have now invaded the sky\, but usually small. Two examples of large drones are presented here: a stealth vehicle demonstrator\, the nEUROn and an operational tactical drone\, the Patroller. \nDemonstration of the nEUROn\, stealth combat drone\n\nbyThierry Prunier\, former director of the nEUROn program\, Dassault Aviation\, former vice-president and member of the Air and Space Academy.\n\nThe Patroller System: The Next Generation of Certified Tactical Drones\n\nby Paul Vassy\, Commercial Director in the Department of Drone and Ground Combat Systems\, Safran Electronics and Defense.\n\nClick here to follow the live event on the Youtube channel of the ‘ Cité des sciences et de l’industrie’

SUMMARY:Dynamics of natural and agricultural landscapes: Contribution of Sentinel time series of images
DESCRIPTION:By Prof. Laurence Hubert-Moy\, member of the Scientific Programmes Committee (SPC) of CNES\, University of Rennes\, AAE correspondent \nDeforestation\, urbanization\, drainage and cultivation of wet grasslands\, melting glaciers\, advances in deserts… are all changes that are happening all over the world. In the context of climate change\, monitoring these landscape dynamics is an important challenge in terms of the preservation of natural resources and biodiversity. Intra- and interannual landscape dynamics can be observed using the Sentinel-1 and 2 satellite time series. The contribution of this data will be illustrated by several examples of application in natural and agricultural landscapes. \nThe conference will be held by video conference. \nSign up by May 24\, 2021 to receive login information on the day of the conference \n\nOops!
