Activities

In order to achieve its goals, AAE conducts reflections on general, strategic or topical issues related to air and space, at the request of official bodies or on its own initiative. AAE may also occasionally deliver elements of analysis if desired by institutions or industrial groups in their specific areas of interest.

Multidisciplinary studies are carried out by the sections and commissions; these highlight essential problems and often lead to the organisation of events.

A variety of events aim to bring together the relevant stakeholders and encourage an exchange of ideas. Such meetings are also the opportunity to maintain constructive relations with other aerospace institutions and companies.

Lectures

More than 20 annual lectures, covering many aerospace themes, are held throughout Europe: Bordeaux, Bremen, Brussels, Madrid, Noordwijk, Paris, Rome, Toulouse, Turin, etc., and in Morocco.

Sessions

Members come together 5 times a year for joint reflection on important subjects. The last session of the year is the solemn plenary session.

Conferences and forums

Experts from various horizons engage in vigorous debate in order to make progress on technical  or strategic issues linked to Air and Space.

Training

With its “Entretiens de Toulouse” (Toulouse Encounters) initiative, the Academy has introduced a high-level interactive training course for engineers and managers.

Prizes and medals

Presented at the solemn plenary session, AAE prizes and medals aim to distinguish persons whose activity has been decisive in the aerospace field.

AAE publishes and disseminates the summaries and conclusions of its work in the shape of Dossiers and Opinions, which include recommendations for the attention of political and industrial decision-makers. It also participates in the elaboration of general works on aerospace culture and publishes a bimonthly Newsletter.
AAE reaches a wide audience by providing free access to all its studies and publications via its website, and also by allowing free consultation of its library collections.
