The Guiana Space Centre was the result of the national political will in the mid-1960s to provide France with an autonomous space policy. With its exceptional location, the CSG is Europe’s spaceport, the European Space Agency’s essential asset and the flight base of all European launchers. The CSG, emblematic of the successes of European technology, is also located in a territory facing great structural difficulties, and its presence sheds light on Guyana’s delays without being able to fill them…
Technical difficulties forced us to postpone the “Space Explorers” conference and replace it with the conference: “The CSG: a French, European and Guyanese space centre.
