General aviation and hybridization: a solution to accelerate the environmental transition

Replay (in French) of the November 20, 2024 conference at the Palais de la découverte, Paris

Hybrid electric aviation offers a new mode of regional transport for multiple applications: passenger transport, medical evacuation cargo, organ transport… Hybridization techniques are a first technological leap enabling general aviation to meet its carbon objectives as the best route to more sustainable aviation, compatible with the transition from kerosene to SAF. Hybridization will also enable air mobility to achieve commercial viability, particularly in terms of payload, range and speed, while reducing emissions.

  • Presentation by Gérard Laruelle, AAE member and former ASTech Managing Director
  • Hybridization is the first technological leap towards meeting aviation’s carbon objectivespresented by Benoit FERRAN, Cofounder & CTO, Ascendance
  • “Voltaéro takes electric aircraft to a whole new level” presented by Jean BOTTI, Co-Founder, CEO & CTO, Voltaéro
