Death of Jean-Claude Husson
It is with great sadness that we announce the death, this Wednesday, April 28, of Mr. Jean-Claude HUSSON, Member Founder of the Academy
After Polytechnique in 1957, School of Application of Marine Officers in 1959 and then the School of Application of the Marine Hydrographic Service in 1960, he joined the CNES in 1966. He was director of the Space Centre in Toulouse from 1976 to 1985 before becoming general manager Alcatel-Espace in 1986 before becoming CEO. He was Professor at the SHOM School and then at ENSTA, Option Oceanology (1969-1987), Chairman of the “Space and Defense” group of Alcatel and Corresponding Member of the Bureau of Longitudes.
He was president of the Academy from 2002 to 2004 and president of Section I on several occasions
